Preliminary assessment
- Understand requirements – identify intended users (staff, fleet, customers, private), charging frequency, and required charging speed/turnaround.
- Site audit – assess electrical infrastructure, including mains capacity, switchboards, cable pathways, and potential charger locations.
- Energy analysis – in parallel with the site audit we review historical interval data or log live usage to confirm infrastructure capacity and identify any upgrade or load management needs.

Installation
- In-house installation – licensed A-Grade Electricians deliver all works including EV charger installation, switchboard upgrades, metering, ethernet cabling, cable tray, and busduct.
- Live environment expertise – we’re experienced in operational car parks, mixed-use developments, and strata complexes, with minimal disruption through careful planning, coordination and flexibility.
- Smart load management – as a Schneider Electric partner, we deploy EcoStruxure™ EV Charging Expert for dynamic load management, access control, and remote diagnostics.
- OCPP-compliant systems – If required, the chargers integrate with charge-point operators for billing and advanced management if required.
- Site readiness – linemarking, wheel stops, bollards, and signage for safety, compliance, and visual integration.

Building new apartments or offices? Plan for EV charging early
EV charging infrastructure should be considered early in the design of any new apartment building, office, commercial property or mixed-use development.
Under the NCC, electrical infrastructure in new car parks must generally be designed to support the future installation of 7 kW Type 2 chargers in 100% of spaces associated with Class 2 apartment buildings, 10% of spaces associated with Class 5 offices and Class 6 retail buildings, and 20% of spaces associated with certain other building classes.
These are EV-readiness requirements and do not require a charger to be installed in every nominated space at completion. Project-specific requirements should nevertheless be confirmed during design, as the applicable NCC edition, Victorian variations and planning permit conditions may differ.
